My 12 Days of Thriftmas - Day 3 - Kintsugi

I hope you've enjoyed the first two videos in my new YouTube series, this one is all about celebrating imperfection; Kintsugi really resonates with me. More details on that after the video...

I think the watch refashion is rather straight-forward, so let's cut straight to a quick bit of background info on the pottery fix. Here's more about the Japanese philosophy Wabi Sabi, which I find rather comforting... and a bit more on kintsugi, which can take weeks to do (by traditional methods).

If you're interested in buying the kintsugi kit I used in the video, here's the link to their Not On The High Street shop. Unfortunately, as I write this post, they have sold out of the kit I used - but I would recommend them, if you can hang on. They were very responsive to my emails, and even provided a replacement for the glue tube, when I told them what had happened. I do love supporting small businesses, especially when they're doing a great job!

If you've got anything to add to this, please do! I love reading your comments, and hearing your ideas - share!

Watch this space, or subscribe to my YouTube channel, for the next one in my 12 Days of Thriftmas, coming soon...

Bye for now x
Gema
